This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts.
After a slow start, the Philadelphia Eagles would roar back for a convincing 34-17 win over Jacksonville last week. Indianapolis' come back came up short, but the Colts made it interesting in losing 31-24 in Denver. Each team played to the OVER in their first game, but I feel the conditions are right for a more "chess match" style of contest tonight, where field position will ultimately determine the outcome and as such, I'm expecting this total to stay below the posted number in the end. Philadelphia fell behind 17-0 heading into the break, but would turn things around in a big hurry in the second half, dominating the Jaguars on both sides of the ball. QB Nick Foles looked like a buffoon in the first half and a genius in the second, I don't think he'll be fooling anyone in Indianapolis today though, especially with the injuries to his offensive line, coach Chip Kelly is now having to juggle people around to fill the positions. Indianapolis was already without the services of Dwight Mathis because of PED violations, but the defensive unit will catch a break here and have some opportunities to get into the backfield and get Foles out of his comfort zone. I believe that Philadelphia is going to lean heavily on LeSean McCoy in this one, expect to see a big dose of the talented RB today. Indianapolis came out flat footed on the defensive side of the ball in its opener vs. the Broncos, but made adjustments and looked much sharper in the second stanza, I think this team carries that play over into this one. Prime Time "OVERS" in the NFL and College Football have already been hitting at an unreal pace, and while most are expecting a shootout, I think this one plays out differently; note that Philadelphia has seen the total go UNDER the number in two of its last three "dome" games, while Indianapolis has seen it dip below the posted number in ten of its last 15 as a favorite. Play on the UNDER.
