AAA's VERY EARLY AMERICAN LEAGUE "ASSASSIN!"
(MLB) Tampa Bay vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -132.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -132.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the Toronto Blue Jays.
After their four game win skein ended in a 1-0 defeat to the Rays yesterday, I think the Blue Jays find a way to get the job done at the end of the night here. Toronto has to be feeling pretty good about its chances in sending RA Dickey (12-12, 3.84 ERA) to the hill; Dickey has given up two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts and just four earned runs over 20 innings worked while going 2-0 in the last three. Dickey has dominated the Rays of late as well, he's yielded just four runs over 13 innings while splitting his last two. Yesterday's setback was only Toronto's third in the last 12 overall and it will look to continue its pursuit of an AL wild-card spot. One other player to keep your eyes on today is Jays' slugger Adam Lind who is batting .341 in his last 13 home games. The visitors counter with Jeremy Hellickson (1-3, 3.71 ERA) who has gone 0-2 with a 4.45 ERA over his last six starts; note that Hellickson faced Toronto at the beginning of September and was shelled for five runs and two dingers over just 3 1/3's innings. I'm giving Dickey the nod on the mound and that's more than a good enough reason in my opinion for laying this very reasonable price; play on TORONTO.
