Off their big 16-7 win here yesterday, we think the Cardinals come out flat here on Sunday. After this the Cards have a day off before a 2-game series at Kansas City. That's then followed by another 3-game interleague series at the White Sox. Would anyone fault the Cards "looking past" their lowly opponent today? The Diamondbacks though send their ace to the hill in Merril Kelly, and he's 10-5 with a 2.81 ERA this season. He's been a consistent bright spot and I think he has the advantage here over his counterpart Jose Quintana, who is 4-5 with a 3.38 ERA for St. Louis. While he's 3-3 with a 2.43 ERA at home, Quintana though is just 1-2 with a 4.98 ERA on the road. In a contest that I see being decided late, or even in extras, I'll recommend a second look at the home side on the runline option in this one!
