UMKC (Kansas City) will really be up against it on Friday as they travel to Iowa City to face the heavily favored Hawkeyes. This is already the second game against a Big 10 team for UMKC. They lost to Minnesota by a score of 71-56 on Tuesday. In that game, the Roos did not cover the spread as they were only 6.5 point underdogs. Oddsmakers like their chances here even less and so do we. Iowa is not the same team they were last year (no Luke Garza) but should certainly “handle its business” in this game. The Hawkeyes scored 106 points in the season opener vs. Longwood, so there’s not going to be that big of a dropoff at the offensive end. Iowa did cover the number vs. Longwood, so they are now 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games. This should be another big win for them as they look to start the season strong. Play on IOWA
