The Indians and Tigers opened a three-game series yesterday. The result was an all-too familiar one for Tigers’ fans as their team lost 13-5. With that, they are now 7-33 their L40 games vs. Cleveland, which includes 2-15 at Progressive Field (where they are 0-4 this season). While we aren’t willing to bet the Indians today, we do think they’ll score plenty of runs again. They will face Jose Urena, whose last three starts have gone really poorly. Lasting less than 10 combined innings, Urena has given up 21 runs. Two were unearned, but they still count. Detroit has lost the three games by a combined score of 38-8. Every time, the Tigers opponent scored 11 or more runs. Considering what Cleveland did last night at the plate, we think they’ll again put up a decent number of runs on Tuesday. But their starter, J.C. Mejia, also has an ERA north of 6.00 this season. Mejia has only one quality start to his name, his last one, so he shouldn’t be counted on to pitch well this evening.
