Through the first six games of these playoffs, Colorado looked totally invincible. They were 6-0 with a +20 goal differential (30-10) and widely considered the favorite to win the Stanley Cup. Then the next three games happened. Vegas has beaten them three straight times, including a come from behind effort in Game 5 that went to overtime. Now the Avalanche aren’t the favorites to win the Cup; they are just trying to stay alive. Even though taking the puck line requires laying a lot of juice, we believe it’s worth it. This is only the second three-game losing streak for the Avs in 2020-21. There has never been a four-game losing streak. While we’re not confident enough to “pull the trigger” on the money line, we just don’t see any way that Colorado loses here by more than one goal. Two of the three losses in this series have been by one goal. They beat Vegas 7-1 in Game 1! They very much COULD win. But we just like the idea of them only having to stay tied at the end of regulation. Play on COLORADO +1.5 (PUCK LINE)
