The Islanders were able to win one in Boston, but immediately gave the home ice advantage right back to the Bruins by losing 2-1 in Game 3. It was a game that went into overtime. The Islanders have had a tremendous home ice edge all season, so we can’t see them losing two in a row. Still, just to be careful, we’ll go with the puck line (+1.5). This is a team that has suffered only five home losses in regulation all season. That’s significant because all we need is for this game to be tied at the end of regulation and it’s a guaranteed winner due to the puck line. Both times New York has been trailing in the series during these playoffs, they have won the next game. Those two wins were Game 2 in Boston and then Game 4 vs. Pittsburgh, which was here in Uniondale. The Bruins dropped all four regular season games here. The Islanders scored at least four goals in each of their three home games in the first round. So they should find the back of the net more tonight.
