After taking a couple of unlucky extra inning losses from the Padres, Houston bounced back with a 7-4 win on Sunday. Now they’ll host Boston. The Red Sox also just got done hosting a National League team. Their game on Sunday got postponed but they did win each of the previous two days vs. Miami. But when analyzing Monday’s opener, what we see are two starting pitchers trending in opposite directions. Boston’s Eduardo Rodriguez has a 7.80 ERA and 1.87 WHIP his last three times out. All three outings have ended in defeat. Rodriguez has allowed at least four runs in four of his last five starts. Then you have Jose Urquidy for Houston. He has a 1.02 ERA and 0.68 WHIP in his last three starts. Those three decisions have all gone the Astros’ way. We look for the trends to continue today as Houston should win a second straight at home. Play on HOUSTON
