While Winnipeg will likely make the playoffs and Calgary likely will not, it’s the Jets that have more questions than answers heading into this Wednesday night matchup in the North Division. They’ve lost seven in a row and scored only 10 goals during the losing streak. Six of those goals came in two games, meaning they’ve scored just four in the last five. The most embarrassing of the seven straight losses occurred Monday when they fell 2-1 to the last place Senators. Calgary, who has had three days off, not only needs to win all of their remaining games but also has to have either Winnipeg or Montreal lose out. That won’t happen. Desperate for a win, look for the Jets to get the two points tonight and clinch a playoff spot. They outshot Ottawa 29-18 only to give up the game winner with 1:13 left in regulation.
