The Pelicans have shown some improvement at the defensive end recently as they have given up an average of 107.2 points in their last five games. We’re not buying that as they’ve allowed the third most points per possession in the league over the course of the season. Boston is a team that has scored 111 or more in each of its last five games. They had two good defensive efforts mixed in there, but those were against two crummy offensive teams - Orlando and Oklahoma City. We are believers in New Orleans’ ability to score. Zion Williamson is on a 23-game streak of 20 or more points scored. Their games are averaging more than 230 points over the course of the season, so this total is really not all that high. Each of the last three games have seen the Pelicans shoot better than 50 percent. Boston didn’t shoot well when they traveled to New Orleans last month. But we expect them to do so here. The Celtics scored 63 points in the first half of that initial meeting, but wound up blowing a 24-point lead and losing in overtime. There will be plenty of points scored tonight.
