The Pacers lost at Denver Monday night, which was their seventh loss in the last nine games. They’ve covered just twice in that span as well. As for the Nets, they come in as winners of five in a row and 13 of their last 14. The pointspread, while low for this matchup, can always be tricky. So we’re playing Brooklyn on the moneyline as we don’t want to miss out on a surefire win. (This way, we can avoid getting “backdoored.”) The last two games have seen the Nets fail to cover vs. inferior opposition. They led the Knicks by 18 on Monday, but ended up winning by just five. At the same time, 8 of their last 13 wins have come by double digits. We just want to “make sure” though and that’s the reason for the ML play.
