This is an 8* on WASH ST

This was originally going to be a late game, but got bumped up to the afternoon. It’s still not a spot California wants to be in. Certainly, the Bears should be feeling good about themselves following last week’s upset win against Oregon. But that was at home. Prior to the upset, Cal was 0-3. They went off as the favorite in two of those three losses. Washington State, who lost to Oregon and then didn’t look good Sunday at USC, is going to be every bit as hungry here as Cal was last week. The Cougars have to win this game to have any realistic shot at playing in a bowl. The fortunate thing for them is that the game is being played in Pullman. The home team has won the last five Cal-Wazzu head to head matchups. Also, Cal is 3-10 straight up and 2-11 ATS its last 13 games as a road favorite of three points or less. That includes a loss to Oregon State two weeks ago. Washington State’s only win this year was at Oregon State. We weren’t afraid to fade the Cougs Sunday at USC, but that was a strange situation (Sunday game on the road). California isn’t as good as USC either. Look for Washington State QB Jayden de Laura to have a big bounce back game Saturday afternoon. He’d looked really good in the first two games. Play on WASHINGTON STATE
