Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19 (for real this time!) and won’t be on the sidelines Saturday. Top ranked Alabama probably doesn’t need Saban to win this game, but when it comes to covering this monster spread, that’s a different matter altogether. Saban’s absence does loom large for this year’s Iron Bowl and it’s difficult to imagine the Crimson Tide being as well prepared as they normally are. This lookahead line for this game was only -12.5. So there’s been a massive adjustment. That’s what happens when Auburn loses twice and Bama wins its last two games by a combined score of 104-3. But minus their legendary coach and facing their main rival, this just seems like too many points to be laying. Auburn did lose by 21 to Georgia, but that was early in the season. They’ve since beaten LSU by 37. They recorded a second straight double digit victory last week against Tennessee. The Tigers are #1 in the SEC in turnover margin. Turnovers were the difference in last year’s upset. They won’t pull the upset again, but they’ll keep it close enough. Play on AUBURN
