Last night, the Dodgers found out what the Reds and Marlins already knew. It’s very hard to score on the Braves. Atlanta pitching allowed just one run in Game 1 and got the offense it needed in the 9th, taking the series opener by a score of 5-1. That performance followed four shutouts in the first five games as the Braves still haven’t lost this postseason and have allowed just five runs to boot. But we see LA dealing them their first loss tonight, behind Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has seemingly regained his velocity in 2020 and checks in with a 10-2 TSR, 2.12 ERA and 0.816 WHIP. The Braves won’t be easy to beat with Ian Anderson on the mound as he’s thrown 11 ⅔ scoreless innings in the postseason thus far. But let us not forget that the Dodgers were also perfect in the postseason going into yesterday’s game and had won nine in a row overall. They are 14-4 off a loss this season. It was a 1-1 game heading into the 9th yesterday. LA is also 48-18 after allowing 5+ runs in the last game. They are a very tough team to beat twice in a row as Atlanta will find out here.
