This is an 8* on CINCY The Reds continue to be a frustrating bunch to bet on as they were our only loss Friday on an otherwise profitable day (went 4-1 overall). They fell 7-2 to the Tigers, a result you simply wouldn’t expect given the respective makeup of the two ball clubs. Even more head-scratching is that Cincy is now 1-3 vs. Detroit this season despite being favored to win all four games. Trevor Bauer will try and pitch them out of this early season hole on Saturday in an early start time. The game was moved up due to weather concerns (rain) and honestly that probably helps a Reds team that has to be eager to avenge last night’s loss. Bauer struck out 13 batters when he faced the Tigers last weekend. Unfortunately, the Reds still lost 3-2. But we’ll still take the fact he allowed just one run (a solo home run) in six innings in that game. Detroit’s Michael Fulmer got hammered by Kansas City lasting only 2 ⅔ innings while giving up four runs. Fulmer allowed three home runs and the Tigers lost the game 14-6. 8* on CINCINNATI AAA
