When looking at the NHL standings, you can't get any worse than Detroit. Though off a 2-0 win against San Jose, the Red Wings' 27 points and -68 goal differential are by far and away the worst such marks in the league. Tonight they head to Dallas to face a Stars team that gets to go back indoors after winning the Winter Classic on New Year's Day. It took a 3-0 third period to rally by Nashville at the Cotton Bowl and that final goal definitely rubbed us the wrong way, costing us the Under. But let's be clear, the Stars aren't going to give up many goals to the lowest scoring team in hockey tonight. Detroit's 89 goals are 15 fewer than the second lowest scoring team. Dallas is allowing only 2.1 goals per game at home. At the same time, Dallas is averaging just 2.7 goals/game themselves.
