This is an 8* play on CINCINNATI

It has to be frustrating for the Reds to have given up so few runs this year, yet still have a losing record. Case in point, they lost the series opener to the Padres by a score of 3-2 despite allowing only five hits. That game ended with the Reds having the bases loaded. Alas, they'll hope for better luck Tuesday. No matter how that game goes though, we like the home team to win on Getaway Day here at Great American Ballpark. They'll have Luis Castillo on the hill and his 0.99 home WHIP (16 starts) is certainly good enough for us. San Diego's Chris Paddack has really struggled after a strong start to his big league career. Paddack's last three starts have seen him allow 14 runs in 14 2/3 innings of work. The Padres came into Tuesday having won four of five, but this remains a flawed team with significant holes. They are 1-7 the last 8 games where they faced a starting pitcher that had a WHIP of 1.15 or better. Just in case it applies, keep in mind that the Reds are 4-1 the last five times they've dropped the first two games of a series. Play on CINCINNATI
