St. Louis is our top side of the week in MLB coming out of the All Star Break as they host Arizona. These are two of the many teams that still believe they have a shot at making the playoffs over in the wide open National League. This is the first time they will have met all season. The Cardinals are exactly .500 while the Diamondbacks are one game over. Arizona has been a better road team than home team (rare!) but St. Louis has definitely been a better team at home. Adam Wainwright has been a better pitcher at home, that's for sure. His ERA at Busch is 2.68, nearly four points lower than his road ERA. Wainwright has a 2.95 ERA in 15 previous starts vs. Arizona. We give him the nod over the wildly inconsistent Robbie Ray as his five starts against the Cardinals have yielded a 6.10 ERA. Arizona swept its final series before the break, at home vs. Colorado, but you shouldn't expect things to go that well here in the Gateway City. Play on ST. LOUIS
