The Yankees have a real "skeleton crew" for a lineup right now with no Aaron Judge and no Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup. Something else they won't have in the lineup this weekend is a DH. They head to San Francisco to face the National League's Giants and tonight's game figures to be a challenge for the Pinstripes at the plate. They'll have to go against Madison Bumgarner. Stanton has actually had a lot of previous success against Bumgarner, so he'll be especially missed. No one in the projected lineup for the Yankees on Friday has ever faced Bumgarner. MadBum has a 0.97 WHIP in five starts this season. He'll be opposed by James Paxton, who has delivered back to back outstanding starts for New York. Paxton has delivered 14 consecutive scoreless innings with only five hits allowed and 24 strikeouts. The Giants are one of the worst offensive teams in all of baseball right now, hitting only .212 as a team (.196 at home) and averaging only 3.1 runs/game (2nd fewest overall).
