The Islanders have undergone a pretty radical transformation this season. Last year, they set a rather infamous record by giving up the most goals ever over the course of an 82-game season. This year, they are giving up fewest goals per game average in the league (2.82). That's stunning. Obviously, the transformation is what's largely responsible for them now leading the Metropolitan Division. They did give up three in a loss to Buffalo Tuesday night. Tonight, they'll have their work cut out for them against a Columbus team that has won four straight while scoring 17 goals in the process. Don't be surprised if the Blue Jackets get held in check. They are 5-1 Under when on a win streak of three games or longer. This includes the 3-0 shutout of Washington Tuesday.
