We ultimately think that this is a much bigger mismatch on the mound than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe. The visitors hand the ball to Jameson Taillon (9-8, 3.63 ERA) who gave up three runs off seven hits over seven innings in a victory over the Cubs on Tuesday. Taillon hasn't allowed more than three runs since May 22nd, posting a 3.18 ERA over his last 73.2 innings. The home side goes with Jake Odorizzi (4-7, 4.50) who gave up two runs off four hits with two walks over four innings in a no-decision to the Tribe on Wednesday. Note that he's been especially poor at home this season as well by going 3-3 with a 5.13 ERA. We like Taillon to easily out-duel the erratic Odorizzi. Lay the price, play on the PIRATES.
