St. Louis hammered Kansas City 8-3 yesterday and we're expecting a similar blowout here as well for the National League side. The visitors hand the ball to Luke Weaver (6-10, 4.66 ERA) who gave up two runs of seven hits while striking out five over six innings in what turned out to be an unfortunate loss to the Marlins on Monday. He's now given up six runs over his last 14.2 innings of work and clearly he catches a break today, throwing in the American League park and against the Royals' anemic hitting line-up. Kansas City hands the ball to Jake Junis (6-11, 4.98) who gave up one run off five hits in a no-decision to the Cubs on Monday. Over two starts previous though he'd been shelled for seven earned runs spanning 10.1 innings of work. Note that Junis is a horrible 3-7 with a 5.11 ERA at home as well. Additionally note that St. Louis is 26-20 in all "day" contests this year, while Kansas City is just 15-30 (-7.8 units) in all "day" games. This line could/should easily be a lot larger.
