We like the home side to find a way to get the job done in the opener of this three-game series. The visitors hand the ball to Kyle Gibson (5-8, 3.47 ERA) who gave up three runs off five hits in a setback to Cleveland on Tuesday, striking out six and walking three over six innings. For the most part Gibson has been solid this year, we simply feel that he's in the wrong place at the wrong time in this one. The home side counters with Trevor Bauer (10-6, 2.34) who gave up two runs off four hits in a victory over Minnesota on Tuesday. Over six July starts he went 3-0 with a 2.03 ERA. Note as well that Bauer is 5-1 with a 2.02 ERA at home this season. Gibson's been decent this season, but Bauer has been on an entirely different level. We like Bauer to come in focused and to find a way to out-duel his counterpart. Lay the price, play on the INDIANS.
