Over 24.2 July innings Gaviglio posted a 7.30 ERA; note that he's 1-4 with an 8.78 ERA on the road. The home side goes with Mike Leake (8-7, 4.16) who gave up three runs off eight hits with four strikeouts over six innings in a setback to the Astros on Tuesday. Despite the setback the veteran has now posted three straight quality efforts and note that he's 4-2 with a 3.58 ERA in all "day" contests thus far. No upset here, as we look for Leake to easily get the better of his erratic counterpart. Lay the price, play on the MARINERS.
