Arizona wrapped up a successful series in Miami early on Thursday afternoon with a 4-0 victory, while San Francisco will travel to the desert to face the Diamondbacks after a deflating late 9-8 home loss to Colorado yesterday afternoon. The visitors go with Andrew Suarez (2-4, 4.43 ERA) who gave up one run off eight hits over 5.2 innings in a no-decision to the Padres on Saturday. Suarez though has been much better at home (1-2, 3.13), than on the road (1-2, 6.18) this year. Arizona hands the ball to Patrick Corbin (6-3, 3.24) who went seven scoreless while also striking out 12 in a victory over Pittsburgh on Friday. Corbin is back on track after a rough stretch and he comes in sporting an elite 11.3 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 over 93 innings of work. Note as well that San Francisco is just 16-26 (-2.7 units) on the road, while Arizona is 23-16 (+4.3 units) at home. We're banking on Corbin building off his latest strong outing.
