5-game report
(MLB) Washington vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -117.00 Philadelphia (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the Philadelphia Phillies.

We think that home field advantage will prove to be the difference in this matchup. Washington hands the ball to Erick Fedde (0-3, 5.32 ERA) who gave up three runs off eight hits with two walks over six innings in a loss to Philadelphia last weekend. It was his first career quality start, but to this point there's no reason to think that the rookie will be able to carry that momentum over here. Note that he's 0-0 with a 7.20 ERA on the road this year. The Phillies go with Nick Pivetta (4-6, 4.06) who gave up two runs off eight hits with seven strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision to Washington last Sunday. Previous to that Pivetta struck out 13 Cardinals. Pivetta comes in with a sharp 101:24 K:BB over 84.1 innings and there's no reason not to think that he won't carry over that momentum here as well. Note that Washington is just 8-9 (-1.4 units) this year in all road game when the money line in the contest is set between +125 and -125, while Philadelphia is 15-10 (+4 units) at home when the money line is set between +125 and -125. We like Pivetta in this matchup. Play on the PHILLIES.
