This is a 10* RED DRAGON on the Atlanta Braves.
We like the Braves to build off yesterday's victory in what shapes up to be another favorable mismatch on the mound for them. The visitors go with the erratic Matt Harvey (2-5, 5.66 ERA) who gave up two runs off five hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a win over the Cubs on Thursday. It was a decent out, but we're not going to read too much into it; note that Harvey still has a pedestrian 4.79 ERA over 41.1 innings for the Reds. Also note that he's 0-4 with a 6.10 ERA on the road. The home side goes with Anibal Sanchez (3-1, 2.55) who gave up four runs off five hits with four walks over five innings while also striking out seven in what would turn out to be a loss against Toronto on Wednesday. The veteran has so far been solid this year and we think he'll have what it takes to out duel his counterpart today; note that Sanchez is 1-0 with a 1.71 ERA at home thus far. Additionally note that Cincinnati is just 21-34 (-8.8 units) against right-handed starters this year, while Atlanta is 30-20 (+11.8 units) against right-handed starters. In our opinion, this line could/should easily be a lot larger. Play on the BRAVES.
