As good as he's been this year, we think that Justin Verlander is overpriced in this situation. Verlander (7-2, 1.24 ERA) most recently gave up two runs off three hits with two walks over six innings in a no-decision against Boston on Saturday. It's hard to say too many negative things about Verlander, but as mentioned off the top, we think he's in the wrong place at the wrong time tonight. The home side counters with Doug Fister (1-6, 4.13 ERA), whose win/loss record is not entirely indicative of how he's performed this season. Fister comes in off a second straight quality start, giving up three earned runs off four hits over six innings in what turned out to be a loss against the Angels on Sunday. Note that Fister owns a sharp 3.59 ERA in all "night" contests this year. Additionally note that the Rangers are 7-3 in their last ten as a home dog of +200 or more as well. The value is simply too good to turn down here, play on the RANGERS.
