This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
We had a play on the OVER in Game 4 (our single biggest NBA Playoff total of the season!) and if you didn't get a chance to see that analysis, it's definitely worth a look now, as for the most part the logic/reasoning behind that pick also directly pertains to this one as well:
We had a play on Boston in Game 3 and that was obviously a loser (we also had the C's in Game 2, a winner.) So far all three games of this series have fallen below the posted number, but we feel that the conditions are now finally right for more of a high-scoring affair. So far it would appear that home court advantage will play a significant role in this series. Cleveland was stymied in Boston, but it exploded for 116 points at home in Game 3. Boston was unstoppable at home, but the wheels would finally come off the bus in Game 3. We thought the Celtics would carry over their momentum, but they looked like a deer caught in the headlights. With that awkward outing out of the way though, we simply have a hard time seeing the hungry visitors not being a lot more prepared this time around. And it's essentially do or die for Cleveland still, so there's no reason not to expect an identical game-plan from the home side in Game 4 as was it deployed in Game 3. Note as well that Boston has seen the total go OVER the number in four of its last six after allowing 115 points or more, while Cleveland has seen the total go OVER the number in five of its last seven after scoring 115 points or more in its previous outing. This one has shootout written all over it, play the OVER.
The bottom line: This is an incredibly important game in the series obviously and with each team pushing the pace, Game 5 has OVER written all over it as well.
