We think that Jhoulys Chacin and the Brewers will stumble at Colorado on Thursday night. Chacin (2-1, 4.08 ERA) gave up one run off three hits over six innings in an unfortunate no-decision against the Pirates on Saturday. Previous to that Chacin had been blasted for four runs over 4.1 innings. Chacin has gone six innings just twice so far this year and his pedestrian 24:19 K:BB definitely leaves something to be desired. The Rockies turn to German Marquez (2-3, 4.76) who gave up two runs off six hits over six innings while striking out eight vs. the Mets on Friday. Marquez has been sharp overall this year and his elevated ERA is due mainly to throwing in the thin air of Coors field, as his 35:16 K:BB is definitely solid. Also note that Milwaukee is already a poor 2-8 (-6.2 units) this season against clubs with winning records, while Colorado is 10-4 (+8.2 units) against teams with winning records. All things considered, a great price. Play on the ROCKIES.
