Pivetta threw better than his stat line would indicate, but it was still a poor outing. Note that Pivetta was 4-7 with a 6.65 ERA last year. The home side turns to Gio Gonzalez (3-2, 2.67) who comes in off a gem against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, allowing one run off six hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven frames. Gonzalez hasn't been at his best this season, but he's still producing. Note that he owned a 2.76 ERA at home last year. We like the hard-hitting Nationals to build off yesterday's victory and to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night. Play on the NATIONALS.
