We feel this is a much bigger mismatch than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe. The visitors hand the ball to Sean Newcomb (1-1, 4.23 ERA) who was shelled for four runs off five hits over six innings in a fortunate no-decision against the light-hitting Reds on Thursday. Newcomb's been decent, but we think he'll stumble here against Jacob DeGrom (3-0, 2.06) who scattered five hits and gave up no runs over 7.1 strong innings while also striking out eight in the Mets' 5-1 win over the Padres on Friday. Over his last 14.1 innings DeGrom has an elite 18:5 K:BB and we simply can't see Newcomb keeping pace. Play on the METS.
