Two competent starters go head-to-head on Saturday afternoon and all signs point to a lower-scoring "duel." Michael Wacha was 12-9 with a 4.13 ERA last year and he comes in off perhaps his best spring training ever by posting a solid 3.32 ERA over 19 innings. Note that Wacha was sharp in all "day" games last year by going 5-3 with a 3.16 ERA. Jacob DeGrom was 15-10 with a 3.53 ERA for the Mets last year and he also comes in off a brilliant spring, posting a 12:1 K:BB over 7.2 innings of work. Note that DeGrom posted a 3.34 ERA in all home games last year. As mentioned off the top, we're expecting these two battle deep and for this one to indeed fall UNDER once it's all said and done.
