This is a 10* RED DRAGON on the UNDER between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Capitals.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Las Vegas has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of seven already this year following a loss by two goals or more in its previous outing (off a 5-2 loss at Minnesota), while Washington has seen the total go UNDER the number in three of four already this year after playing to three consecutive OVER's.
The bottom line: It's a tough road ahead for the Knights, with upcoming games at Pittsburgh and San Jose. After their latest "dud" though, we can expect the visitors to play a much "tighter" affair this evening. Washington comes in off a 7-4 loss to Pittsburgh and will also be looking to clean things up on the defensive end. When you add it all up, this number is indeed too high. All signs point to a lower-scoring goaltenders battle, so play the UNDER.
