This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Dallas has seen the total go OVER the number in nine of 15 already this year in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent (fell at home to Phoenix 97-91 in mid December), while Phoenix has seen the total go OVER the number in five of its last seven after playing to five or more consecutive SU losses.
The bottom line: We don't have to question the motivation levels of either team tonight. Both teams are dealing with injuries, but each is hungry to break a string of shoddy play. Phoenix has lost eight of ten, including five straight, while Dallas comes in having lost seven of ten, including four straight (most recently a poor 95-88 setback at home to the Heat.) Neither of these clubs will be in the playoffs, but both will be pushing the pace from start to finish as they look to get off the schneid. This number is just a little low, play the OVER.
