As note that LA has seen the total go OVER the number in nine of 17 this year against teams with losing records and in four of its last six in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent, while Memphis has seen the total go OVER the number in three of its last five against clubs with losing records and in 16 of its last 29 after allowing 90 points or less in its previous outing.
The bottom line: LA has won four straight, most recently a 107-101 victory at Dallas. With Lonzo Ball back directing at the point, the Lakers are an extremely dynamic team. Ball may be out tonight, but the visitors will still look to avenge a 109-99 setback to the Grizzlies in late December as they look to take advantage of this one before a tough game in OKC on Wednesday. And for Memphis, it enters having gone 4-6 in its last ten, most recently falling in a listless 87-78 performance in Denver. Clearly Memphis looks to get back on track as it pushes the pace from start to finish. When you add it all up, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the correct call in this one.
