(NBA) Toronto vs. Philadelphia,
Total: 218.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the UNDER between the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers.

We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.

This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics and common sense:

As note that Toronto has seen the total go UNDER the number in five of eight against division opponents already this year and in ten of 17 following a non-conference game, while Philadelphia has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of seven against division opponents and in five of seven following a loss by ten points or more.

The bottom line: After losing the Heat 90-89, the Raptors bounced back with a big 133-99 victory over Cleveland in their next game. Toronto was down huge in its last game to the Warriors at half time and came all the way back in the second, only to come up short in an eventual 127-125 setback. Can anyone say letdown spot here? And for Philadelphia, it's been off since a 114-103 setback to the C's in England a few days ago. But with a rematch in Boston on Thursday, we think the 76ers come in flat-footed, well also getting caught looking ahead. When you add it all up, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
