These teams met in Week 1 and the Vikes went on to win 29-19, the total sneaking over the 47.5 number. It was a rare big offensive performance for Minnesota, which relies almost completely on its defense to carry the load most weeks (note that over the final three weeks of the regular season the Vikes allowed a total of 17 points.)
