When the smoke clears at the end of this one, we're expecting this total to fall below the posted number. Washington ended its losing streak with an impressive defensive performance and will need to be extra sharp today if it has any chance in beating the Bucks for a second time this season as sharp-shooter Bradley Beal is reported to sit this one out (note, if Beal does happen to play, he'll be far from 100% and not nearly as effective). During their slide the Wizards allowed 119.0 PPG, but would hold visiting Orlando to a 108-99 victory on Saturday. The Wizards would also hold the Magic to just 4 for 18 from behind the arc. The Bucks are coming off a high-scoring and extremely satisfying 108-105 double OT win vs. the Cavs on Saturday, snapping an eight-game slide in the series. Can you say classic "letdown spot?" Note that the Bucks were excellent on the defensive end of the court as well in the win over Cleveland, holding it to 40.7 percent and forcing 21 turnovers (note though, the Wizards have committed just 19 turnovers in their last two games). Significant injuries to both teams and great situational factors all point to a hard-fought, low-scoring UNDER.
