(MLB) LA Angels vs. Houston,
Money Line: -161.00 Houston (Home)

Money Line: -161.00 Houston (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* SITUATIONAL DESTRUCTION on the Houston Astros.
These teams are in a dog fight for the final postseason spot in the Junior Circuit, the visitors now sit just 2.5 games back of the Astros after yesterday's 4-3 win. Houston is still trying to catch the team in front of it though, falling to two back of the AL West-leading Rangers with the setback: "We're not a perfect team," Astros manager A.J. Hinch assessed last night. "We still make mistakes. But we're a pretty good baseball team." The home side turns to Mike Fiers (2-1, 3.06 ERA) who has given up just ten hits with a minuscule ERA of 0.89 in three outings at Minute Maid Park; Fiers has now given up just 11 earned runs over his last seven starts. The visitors counter with Nick Tropeano who will make his sixth start of the season and third this month since coming up from Triple-A Salt Lake. We think this is a tough spot for Tropeano as he's being forced into action here after a 21-inning doubleheader Saturday and short outings from Matt Shoemaker, Jered Weaver and Hector Santiago over the next three games resulted in this start. We're giving Fiers the big nod in this matchup and with that important factor on our side, we do indeed have no issues at all in laying the price. Play on the ASTROS.
