This is a 10* NL TOW on the UNDER Cards/Nationals.
While the first three games of this series flew well OVER the number, I'm definitely anticipating a much lower-scoring "duel" here on Monday for a few different reasons.
The Cards have in fact seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last 12 after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row, while Washington has seen the total dip UNDER in three of its last four in the same position.
Miles Mikolas is just 6-7 with a 5.19 ERA for the Cards, but he still maintains a respectable 1.22 WHIP. He's off a gem vs. the Pirates as well, unfortunate to receive a no-decision vs. the Pirates in his last outing after conceding two runs over six innings.
And he'll be opposed by Mitchell Parker, who is 5-4 with a 3.61 ERA and sharp 1.10 WHIP for the Nats.
The overall situation, combined with the numbers/trends points to these two guys battling into the latter frames and for this total to ultimately fall well UNDER the number once it's all said and done.
