This is a 10* TOTAL BK on the OVER Preds/Canucks.

Just a great situational play here, as I'm expecting a faster-paced affair between two hungry sides to go well OVER the number before the final horn sounds.

Nashville is 5-10 and now desperate to snap a three-game slide. All three have been on the road, including B2B 3-2 OT losses at Colorado and Edmonton, followed by a 2-0 loss at Calgary last time out. The Preds have issues, but note that dating to last year Nashville has seen the total eclipse the posted number in seven of its last ten after three or more straight losses in a row.

Vancouver is 9-4. Its off a 4-1 win over Chicago. I expect it to duplicate that offensive performance here.

But the Canucks could be tired after last night's game, which will leave them open on the backend and susceptible to attack from the desperate Predators.

A faster-paced affair = more shots and more shots = more goals.

With each team pushing the pace like I believe it will, the OVER is the correct call as far as the total is concerned.
