The Tigers are only three games back of the final wildcard spot in the AL, tied with the Mariners and the Red Sox. They won two of three at Oakland and I expect Keider Montero to outduel his counterpart Bradley Blalock from the Rockies here at home. The difference between these two struggling starters comes when we dive a bit deeper into their numbers (Blalock owns a 1.65 WHIP, while Montero a more respectable 1.29.) Look for DETROIT to find a way to get the job done in this one and lay the price with confidence.
