*80% ALL L/SATURDAY!* Parsons' CFB PUNI$HER!
(NCAAF) Chippewas (CMC) vs. Panthers (FIU),
Point Spread: 6.00 | -110.00 Panthers (FIU) (Home)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 6.00 | -110.00 Panthers (FIU) (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* PUNI$HER on Florida International.
Central Michigan is 1-0, while FIU is 0-1.
The Chips enter off a satisfying 66-10 home win over Central Connecticut, but with a game at Illinois next week, followed by their first home conference contest vs. Ball State, will they get caught "looking ahead?!"
Very possibly obviously.
FIU fell 31-7 to Indiana. The good news for the Panthers is that they have no one on the injured list, while CMU has several players listed, including, DC Tysen Campbell, WR Tyson Davis, TE Alec Palella, DB Danny MacLean, and RB Kadenn Rose.
CMU QB Joe Labas had 342 passing yards and three TD's, but clearly, we have to take his performance, and the victory overall, with a "grain of salt."
FIU QB Keyone Jenkins will be a lot better this week after finishing with 129 yards passing, one TD and one INT.
FIU was severely overmatched in Week 1, but with that awkward, but important game out of the way, I expect the Panthers to be vastly improved this week. The moral of the story is, let's not overreact to either team's Week 1 results.
In a contest that I see being decided by whichever team has its hands on the ball last, I'm grabbing the points.
The play is FIU.
Good luck, NP
