This is a 10* TOTAL ANNIHILATION on the UNDER Mariners/Red Sox.
We've seen some high-scoring games so far in the second half of the MLB season, but this particular total here on Wednesday between the Mariners and Red Sox is a bit TOO high in my estimation now.
And because of that, I'm recommending a play on the "under" for the total.
And for me it boils down to these starting pitchers, as everything points to a classic "duel" in my opinion.
George Kirby is 8-7 with a 3.03 ERA and 0.98 WHIP for the Mariners. He is off a dominant outing vs. the White Sox, going seven scoreless and striking out seven in the victory. He's last at least six frames in nine straight starts.
He'll be opposed by Boston's Brayan Bello, who is 10-5 with a 5.27 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. He's off a no-decision to the Yanks, allowing three runs over five innings. Overall he has a sharp 96:36 K:BB and everything points to further progression in this AL matchup.
With these two guys battling deep like I suspect, everything does indeed point to the UNDER as the correct call as far as the total is concerned in my opinion.
