This is a 10* UNDERDOG OF THE YEAR on the Red Sox.
Neither team has been playing great, but they say that divisional matchups are always the most important and that they almost always mean the most to the home side.
Each team had yesterday off, but this one favors Brayan Bello and the hungry home side in my opinion.
Nestor Cortes Jr. is 4-9 with a 3.99 ERA for the Yanks, but he was just shelled for six runs over four innings in a loss to the Rays at home on Saturday. Also note that he's a downright terrible 0-5 with a 6.10 ERA on the road this season.
Brayan Bello is 10-5 with a 5.27 ERA for the Red Sox, but he owns a 28:5 K:BB in July and he's also logged back-to-back quality outings.
These two guys are moving in opposite directions and it makes Bello and the RED SOX the correct call in the opener of this divisional series in Boston on Friday night.
