This is a 10* NL TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER Mets/Marlins.
The Mets and Marlins conclude a four-game series in Miami on Monday night, and after the last two games have fallen UNDER the posted number, I'm finally expecting some offensive fireworks in the finale.
Note that the Mets have seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last ten as well in trying to avenge a road loss as a fav vs. an opponent.
David Peterson (4-0, 3.09 ERA) has been excellent, but to me, these sparkling numbers are unrealistic, and ultimately unsustainable moving forward.
And the home side counters with Yonny Chirinos (0-1, 5.76 ERA), who was just shelled for seven runs over five innings in a loss to the Reds. He's in the rotation out of necessity and I expect him to once again get rocked here in this start as well.
This number is low, the play is the OVER.
