This is a 10* AL CENTRAL GOY on the Twins.
I base my picks on many different things, and this particular one is based almost entirely on the starting pitching matchup.
I've been a fan of Kenta Maeda's ever since he came in the league, but he's yet to find his footing for the Tigers and I think he'll struggle here on July 4th in this difficult road venue and that Bailey Ober is well worth the price of admission in this one.
Despite what happens between the clubs on Wednesday, I love how this one sets up for Ober (7-4, 4.30 ERA), 1.09 WHIP), who enters off a gem, allowing one run off two hits with three walks and nine K's over six innings in what turned out to be a frustraing no-decision vs. the hard-hitting Mariners on Friday. He owns a sharp 92:23 K:BB and has been his absolute best in front of the home town crowd so far by going 3-1 with a 3.64 ERA in Minnesota.
Maeda (2-4, 5.76, 1.42 WHIP), has been his worst on the road this year, going 0-2 with a ballooned 8.61 ERA.
I predict an epic lop-sided destruction here, so lay the price with confidence on the TWINS!
Good luck, NP
