Taking USC here. I will be honest here. Part of me likes the points with Fresno. But I can't over-look their feeling of disappointment. I know they should be able to get up against big bad USC here. But the fact is they lost a game to San Jose (we had that outright dog winner) that cost them a BCS Bowl bid. I would have been 100% all in on the Trojans except for the fact they are going to have their 3rd HC of the year for this game. Under Ed Orgeron they went 6-2. He was let go after USC lost to UCLA to make room for new HC Steve Sarkisian. OC Clay Helton takes over so I don't think we miss a beat from that perspective. I also think the players are going to want to win this one for this coach. They like Orgeron, and with Sark coming in, these guys are going to want to show some life. What better way then to go out with a bowl win. Albeit, in a lower-tier bowl, but Fresno is a 1-loss team with a legit NFL QB prospect in Carr behind center. Fresno has lost 4 straight bowls including the last year in blow-out fashion, 43-10 (we had 10* on SMU). A game always gets my attention when I see the perceived 'lower' ranked team favored over a higher one. This is USC, and I did fade them against Georgia Tech in last years bowl. But I think this team has rebounded and is playing well right now. 4* Money-Maker USC TROJANS
