Steele has become a very good pitcher in his third season. However, he's coming off a season-high 110 pitches in his last start. He has already exceeded the most innings he has pitched in a season. So regression could be coming.

The Blue Jays are 14-9 against southpaws. They have the third-highest on base percentage versus left-handers and fifth-highest batting average.

Bassitt is not the best pitcher on the Blue Jays. But he is solid. He's at his best when pitching at home, too, with a 6-2 record and 2.56 ERA. Bassitt has permitted two earned runs or fewer in four of his past five starts.
